​Proposed Amended 2016/17 School Calendar
The 2016/17 North Vancouver School District School Calendar, approved by the Board of Education on March 24, 2015, requires amendment with the addition of one (1) non-instructional day as required by the Ministry of Education. This non-instructional day is part of the Ministry’s plan announced on September 28, 2015 to support implementation of the new BC K-12 curriculum by providing teacher training time specific to the curricular changes.

Monday, November 14, 2016 is identified as the date for the non-instructional day. Students will not attend school on this day.

The Board of Education invites your comment on the Proposed Amended 2016/17 School Calendar. Comment on the Proposed Amended 2016/17 School Calendar will be received by e-mail up to, and including, February 25, 2016. The mailbox address is:

Comments on the Proposed Amended 2016/17 School Calendar will be shared with the Board of Education for their information. Personally identifiable information (name, e-mail address, etc.) from your e-mail comment will not be included; only the text of your comment will be provided.

The Proposed Amended 2016/17 School Calendar will be presented to the Board of Education for its information at the Public Board Meeting on March 8, 2016.
