Handsworth Model United Nations Club sent 6 delegates to the Vancouver Model United Nations Conference Friday Jan. 30 to Sunday Feb.1 

Club president Sara Sheikh, vice president Rohzin Ressideh, Arian Nazhad-Habibi, Graham Hopkins, Adam Benwood and James Weng joined 1500 students from across Western Canada and the USA for 2 nights and 3 intense days of diplomacy last weekend at the Hyatt Regency downtown.  Our Handsworth delegation were assigned New Zealand and Canada and represented their country's interests in their UN committees.  Students presented their own position papers and debated international issues.

Of special note is Arian Nazhad-Habibi's award as runner-up for most researched delegate.
