​For the first time the Handsworth Slam Poetry Team advanced to the finals in Vancouver’s Hullabaloo Youth Slam Poetry competition. 

Andrew W, the team captain, placed first in the individual underground competition, and the team tied for second in the team competition. 

Congrats out to the team: Andrew W, Kirsty McK, Karen H, Austin MacWh, and Nicola D.  In addition, a special congrats to Andrew Warner who was selected to join theVancouver Youth Team at YouthCanSlam. 

From this competition he was selected to join Vancouver's youth slam team to compete in Ottawa with teams from cities across Canada.  Outstanding poetry work Handsworth Slam Team!
