Planning 12 / Grad Transitions

The aim of Planning 12 is to support students in acquiring attributes in the areas of intellectual, social, and career development. Guidance will be provided to assist students in the continued development of their Graduation requirements through their Grade 12 year and prepare them for their Post-Secondary choices. The Graduation Transition requirements will be supported in Planning 12.  The format of Planning 12 will be both large group grade assemblies and required smaller group seminars.

Grade 12 – Grad Conference – October 3, 2018

This year we are kicking off the Planning 12 course with a full day mandatory Grad Conference on Wednesday October 3, 2018.  Students will be grouped by homeroom and attend a keynote speaker and four workshops throughout the day.  Registration will begin at 8:00 am in the cafeteria.  Students will pick up their registration package and head to the Large Gym for the keynote. Following the keynote students will rotate through a series of seminars on resume building, interview skills, financial literacy, and post-secondary planning. They will also review their diploma verification report for accuracy. This mandatory conference includes attending scheduled seminars during Flex Time on October 3, 2018.

Planning 12 Classes

In addition to the Grad Conference Grade 12 students are required to attend Planning 12/Grad Transitions assemblies held throughout the year during Flex Time.  This year all students are required to complete an Exit Interview scheduled for the end of May 2019.
