Emergency Training Drill in Mahon Park on March 13, 1013

Please take a moment to read this notice, as it will provide you with information regarding our activities and how they may affect you.

 

We will be conducting a disaster training drill in Mahon Park on March 13, 2013.  The park will be closed to the public during that time.  There will be numerous vehicles and personnel from the fire, police and ambulance departments.  This drill is part of a research project being conducted by the Justice Institute of British Columbia with the support of the North Shore Emergency Management Office and North Vancouver City Fire Department.  We are doing this drill so we can better respond and help our community during a real emergency.  This is only a drill so we can better respond and help our community during a real emergency.  This is only a drill and NOT a real emergency.

PLEASE NOTE:  IMPACT TO PARKING - Mahohn Park Parking Lot and North Side of West 16th Street

 

The Mahon park parking lot will be used during the drill and will be unavailable from 6 p.m. on March 12th until 4 p.m. on March 13th..  A temporary loading zone will be set up on the north side of West 16th Street on March 13, 2013 to allow access to the daycare and senior centre.  If you  usually park your vehicle in these areas, please find an alternate location to park.  Sorry for any inconvenience.
