The North Vancouver School District is pleased to announce two new Academies
for September 2018.
On
Tuesday, February 20th there will be a Parent
Information Meeting at Sutherland Secondary School Library at 7:00 pm regarding
the new
Outdoor Education Academy.
This partnership
with Outward Bound Canada will offer outdoor pursuits and
overnight excursions for students who will be in the
grade 10 in
September 2018. Interested families will be able to meet Outward Bound
staff and the Outdoor Education teacher. Students interested in this academy
must transfer to Sutherland for their grade 10 year.
On
Thursday, February 22nd there will be a Parent
Information Meeting at Carson Graham Secondary School at 7:00 pm in the Agora on
the main floor regarding the launch of the
Lacrosse Academy in
September 2018.
This Academy will be open to students who will
be in grade 8-12 from secondary schools across the North Shore. Lacrosse
Academy will take place in Block 8 on Day 2. Students will take their
other courses at their existing secondary schools.
