Each year, the North Vancouver School District (NVSD) seeks public input to inform priorities for the Operating Budget, which supports the day-to-day delivery of public education. The majority of this budget funds staffing and services that directly support students, families, and schools per the mandate for public schooling and in support of the school district's Framework for Enhancing Student Learning and strategic priorities.
Like other public sector organizations, the school district continues to experience increased costs and expenditures. At the same time, the Province has signaled a period of fiscal restraint. As a result, the school district must carefully align available resources with its mandate, strategic priorities, and community needs.
The public input period is open until Tuesday, February 23, 2026. Members of the community are encouraged to share input and feedback through the following options:
