Emergency Information BC has issued a B.C. Flood Warning for the North Shore mountains region. A flood warning means that river levels have exceeded the river bank or will exceed the river bank soon. Flooding may occur in areas near affected rivers.
Please stay clear of the banks of swift-running rivers and never drive across flooded roads, bridges or river crossings.
Student safety is the school district’s first priority. It is also a shared responsibility. Parents and guardians are responsible for their child(ren)’s safe travel to school. If for any reason you feel your child(ren) cannot travel safely to school, please make other arrangements for your child(ren). Students who are unable to attend school due to severe weather conditions will not be penalized for their absence.
We also encourage families to establish an emergency plan for their child(ren) in the event schools are closed, the school’s start time is delayed, or students are dismissed early. Additional resources to support this planning are available on Winter Weather web page.
Thank you for supporting the safety of our learning community.
