Dear North Vancouver School District Community,
Further to the Province’s announcement
shared earlier today, all schools and school district sites throughout
the North Vancouver School District will be closed on Monday, September
19, 2022, in observance of the funeral services for Her Majesty Queen
Elizabeth II.
As
shared by Premier John Horgan, “This will be a national day to reflect
on the incredible life of Canada’s Queen and the longest-serving monarch
in British history.”
To
honour the life of Her Majesty the Queen, and as a sign of respect,
flags at schools and school district sites were flown at half-mast
starting on Thursday, September 8, and will remain flown at half-mast
until sunset on Monday, September 19.
