North Vancouver Board of Education welcomes new Chair and Vice Chair 

The North Vancouver Board of Education is pleased to announce Trustee Kulvir Mann has been acclaimed Board Chair and Trustee Linda Munro Vice Chair for the next year. Trustee Mann and Trustee Munro will serve in their respective roles for the term commencing December 1, 2021.  

The elections for Board Chair and Vice Chair took place at the November 16, 2021, Public Board Meeting, as required by Policy 104: Board of Education – Meetings and in accordance with Policy 101: Board of Education – Role and Function and Section 67(4) of the School Act.  

Also at the November 16, 2021, Public Board Meeting, Trustee Mary Tasi Baker and Trustee George Tsiakos were declared BC School Trustees Association (BCSTA) Board representative and alternate, respectively.  

Furthermore, Trustee Christie Sacré​ and Trustee Megan Higgins were declared BC Public School Employers’ Association (BCPSEA) Board representative and alternate, respectively.  

Trustees serving as BCSTA and BCPSEA Board representatives will serve in their respective roles for the term commencing January 1, 2022.  

“I would like to congratulate all trustees in their new appointments,“ said Board Chair Tsiakos. “They are passionate advocates for public education, and their strong working relationships with each other will continue to serve them well in these leadership roles. I look forward to working with them in their new capacities.”  

Trustee elections are held every four years, with the next occurring on October 15, 2022.
