The Dance Academy is scheduled for both Day 1 and Day 2. Students are placed in their class by the Dance Academy and Windsor Secondary.

About the Dance Academy

Beginning in September 2014, the North Vancouver School District formed a partnership with Seymour Dance to offer a Dance Academy at Windsor Secondary School. The Dance Academy is parallel in design to existing academies and provides for the participation of all students, male and female, regardless of their dance experience.

The Dance Academy is held at Seymour Dance Studio and consists of a Dance Curriculum, as set out by Seymour Dance and is in compliance with the BC Ministry of Education Prescribed Learning Outcomes for Physical and Health Education (PHE) 8-10 and Active Living 11-12. Students earn their grade-equivalent PHE/Active Living credit upon successful completion of the program.

The Academy will be held in either block 4 or block 8 of the secondary timetable, depending on cohort. Please note: transportation to and from the Academy is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
