Late French Immersion information session
Attention parents of current grade five students! An information session is taking place on January 22, 2020, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Education Services Centre (2121 Lonsdale Ave, 5th Floor) for parents interested in registering their children in Late French Immersion. All grade seven and secondary school students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend an information evening about the many choice programs offered at the secondary school level. Secondary school students can find their perfect fit at a fair for exploring careers in trades and technology. January 27, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. at the Education Services Centre (2121 Lonsdale Avenue, 5th floor). Exhibitors: Architects, Fashion Designers, Interior Designers, Electricians, Ironworkers, Welders, Auto and Motorcycle Mechanics, Engineers, Holographic Creators, and everything in between! Current Grade 10 students and their parents/guardians are invited to an information evening on Monday, January 27, 2020, at 7 p.m. at Carson Graham Secondary (2145 Jones Ave., North Vancouver) regarding the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Social Emotional Learning and Mental Health – Information night
Join the North Vancouver School District on January 29, 2020, at 7 p.m. at the Education Services Centre (2121 Lonsdale Ave, 5th Floor) for a presentation about the various initiatives taking place to support Social Emotional Learning and Mental Health. The school district has placed Social Emotional Learning and Mental Health as an educational priority for the school district. Find out about the programs, curricular components, and professional learning taking place to support this priority area. Also discover research data related to student mental health that is helping to inform the school district's efforts. This session is proudly co-hosted by the North Vancouver Parent Advisory Council.

Input Opportunity: Budget Priorities
Each year, the North Vancouver School District undertakes a public consultation process for input on budget priorities. Staff, students, parents, education partner groups, and community members are invited to provide their input on budget priorities. Budget priorities align with and support the school district's strategic goals, vision and values. There are various ways to provide feedback:
- In-person: at the Board Standing Committee Meetings on February 4 and April 7, 2020, at 7 p.m. at the Education Services Centre (2121 Lonsdale Ave, 5th floor).
- Email: from February 3 to March 13, 2020 (firstname.lastname@example.org)
- Online: from February 18 to March 13, 2020 through an exchange of ideas on the online platform Thoughtexchange. More information regarding budget feedback via Thoughtexchange will be provided.

Ready, Set, Learn
The North Vancouver School District welcomes 3-5 year-olds who have not yet started kindergarten to come and join us with their parents, guardians, childcare providers, or early childhood educators to Ready, Set, Learn – free early learning events funded by the BC Ministry of Education.
