Dr. Lorrie Welch
Seycove Secondary School – North Vancouver
Calculus and humour… what a combination. For most of us, the sciences can be tricky, but not for Dr. Lorrie Welch’s students. Dr. Welch is a funny and caring teacher, who encourages her students to reach their maximum potential in calculus and chemistry. Along with her encouragement, passion for the course work, and an innovative teaching style, Dr. Welch is always available to her students for extra support. She makes learning fun – but she runs a tight ship. Teaching STEM subjects is challenging and being able to inspire young people to follow her chosen field of study is a testament to her love of the subject and of teaching.
