During May’s Emergency
Preparedness Week, the school district’s Occupational
Health & Safety office ran a contest, challenging schools to submit a photo
of an action they had taken towards emergency preparedness.
Congratulations to Boundary Elementary
for sharing information and photos on their updated safety plans, installed
flip charts, and replenished Grab-and-Go bags! The school also took advantage
of DreamRiders’ Emergency Preparedness online assembly, providing the entire
school with a lively and interactive overview on the importance of knowing the
risks, making a plan, and having emergency supplies. Well done to all staff and
students for your hard work in getting prepared!
Thanks also to North Shore
Emergency Management, for suppling
the Mountain House 72-Hour Emergency Meal Kit prize pack.
Principal Ilona Wardas and Principal Tim MacLeod accept the prize for their school’s
emergency preparedness activities.
