Devon McHugh’s Grade 5 French Immersion class recently won $1,000 worth
of prize money for Cleveland Elementary, with students from the class
participating in the “At My
Best” challenge sponsored by Physical and Health Education Canada.
During the month of May, students completed one “At My Best”
challenge per day to help support each other in learning about health and
well-being in a fun way. With activities
for K-3 and 4-6 grade levels, the challenges are categorized into the three
themes of the At My Best program:
healthy eating, emotional well-being, and physical activity.
The challenges are
fun, engaging, and only take about 10 minutes to complete, making them easy to
fit into the school day. Some challenges include downloadable activity sheets
or ask users to upload a photo or short description of the activity.
Each time a class
completes a challenge and it’s marked complete online, the class will be
entered into a weekly draw for a chance to win $1,000! At the end of the month, each challenge
completed provides an entry into the grand prize draw of $3,000!
Congratulations to the Grade 5 French Immersion class at Cleveland
Elementary on your win!
