Biography

Linda attended Montroyal Elementary and Handsworth Secondary schools in NVSD. Today she and her family live in Lynn Valley and her children attend school in the Argyle Family of Schools.

She believes schools are the cornerstone of our community that provide opportunities for children to learn about themselves and the world around them. Linda feels strongly that every child deserves to feel welcome and valued in NVSD schools.

Key priorities for Linda are social emotional learning and support for complex learners. She values the attention given by NVSD to providing a holistic approach to learning.

From preschool to university, Linda brings experience at all levels of education in North Vancouver. She served as president of Lynn Valley Parent Participation Preschool, chair of the PAC at École Ross Road School, and an instructor at Simon Fraser University.

She is a public relations professional with over 20 years of experience. Her career in communications and public relations has included work in New Delhi, Bangkok and London. Currently, she is a Senior Communications Officer at Capilano University where she handles media relations and external communications.

Linda has a Bachelor of Arts (Geography/Political Science) from Queen's University, a Master of Arts in Journalism from Western University, and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Simon Fraser University.
