Peak Performance Program

Sutherland is pleased to announce that it is offering the North Vancouver School District Peak Performance Program.  This program is tailored specifically to fit Sutherland's semester system.

The Sutherland Peak Performance Program is designed for high level student athletes and performers that need to balance their education with demanding competition training schedules.  It is appropriate for athletes competing at the provincial or national level or students highly involved in the fine or performing arts.

Students who meet the entrance criteria to the program and are accepted after the application process will be able to take advantage of our flexible semester system to accommodate their demanding schedules.  Moreover, students may have the opportunity to gain credit for Ministry approved external credits.  Peak Performance is one of the Programs of Choice being offered by the North Vancouver School District.

About the Program

The Sutherland Peak Performance Program allows students to pursue their goals without compromising their schooling.  It is appropriate for athletes competing at the provincial or national level or students highly involved in the fine or performing arts.

Students who meet the entrance criteria to the program and are accepted after the application process will be provided with our flexible semester timetable in order to accommodate their demanding training schedules.  Courses may be scheduled so students have a flex period built into their daily schedule to allow for study and review.  A student may also be able to receive credits towards Graduation through their accomplishments.  Students will be required to re-apply on a yearly basis in order to demonstrate that their program and level of competition are at the standard required to be a part of the program.
