In North Vancouver School District, our First Nations Support Workers and Indigenous Success Teachers provide on-going support in classrooms to ensure the long-term success of Indigenous students. β
Indigenous students at Queen Mary are are supported in the learning of the Squamish Language by our First Nations Support Workers.
At Queen Mary Community Elementary, through the philosophy and framework of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, all students engage in learning that focuses on intercultural understanding and respect. Within this framework we work we also work with the
First Nations Principles of Learning.β
