Office 365

September 25, 2017

SD44 is providing students with access and personal accounts to Microsoft’s “Office 365 for Education” program.

Office 365 is Microsoft’s most recent version of their office suite, and it includes online and offline versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. Here are some of the reasons that students and staff can be excited about this service:

  • Students can store and save up to 1TB of digital files to an online server so they can work from school, home, or any other place with an internet connection.
  • Online versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint can be accessed from any web browser or students can download up to 5 copies of the Microsoft Office software and install it for free on home computers (Mac and Windows), iPads, tablets, and Android devices. (Find it on your O365 home screen at https://www.office.com)

While students may not want to work at anytime from anywhere, SD44 is pleased to provide the opportunity.

Before students can access Office 365, parents must first provide permission. To give permission, please login to your School Cash Online account and fill out the Office 365 permission form. Secondary students must also provide permission on this form, so please fill it out with your child present if your child is in secondary school (elementary students do not need to sign). Office 365 is available to students in grades 4-12 (it is not provided to students in grades K-3).

Login Information:

  • A student will use their school login username plus the email suffix: ____________@sd44.ca
  • Password is the same as the one students use at school
  • Student username (email suffix) and password can be obtained from their school
