​An official naming ceremony and blessing of the Education Services Centre will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016* between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. 

The Education Services Centre is being gifted with the Squamish traditional name Chílhiṅup, meaning ‘High Ground’.  Superintendent of Schools John Lewis will also be honoured at this event.  John will receive the name Ha7lh Siyáẏ, meaning ‘Good Friend’. 

Following the naming ceremony, the official signing of the Aboriginal Education Enhancement Agreement will take place at the Squamish Nation Longhouse.
