Congratulations to Emily Janzen (Grade 8, Seycove Secondary) who recently won an early bird prize in the "Here's My Canada" video contest sponsored by Heritage Canada and Historica Canada! Emily, a Performance Learning Program student at Seycove, submitted her winning video submission to express what Canada means to her.

Here's My Canada is a multilingual, nation-wide contest inviting Canadians to share what Canada means to them in a 30-second video.

As an early bird winner, Emily has received a trip to Ottawa, an iPad Air, and a course with the National Film Board of Canada to help her create her own digital story to put in the Canadian Museum of History in Ottawa.

Emily's digital story will be displayed as a collection of images, videos, audio, and more, that conveys her personal message about Canada. During her trip, Emily will also experience a tour of parliament and a meeting with the Prime Minister.

Congratulations to Emily on this amazing accomplishment, we are so proud of you!
