Policy

The Board of Education manages information and communication systems and resources to support the delivery of its educational programs, services, and corporate operations.

The Board actively supports and encourages the use of its information and communication systems and resources by its employees, students, and public users.

Employees, students, and public users of the Board’s information and communication systems and resources shall ensure that they are used:

With integrity in an ethical, professional, and lawful manner
For purposes that support the Board’s Policy 106: Statements of Mandate, Vision, and Values.

This policy applies to all employees, students, and public users of the Board’s information and communication systems and resources at schools, sites, and workplaces, and includes remote access, file and system backups, confidentiality, ownership, personal use, privacy, prohibited uses, resource approvals, security, and standards.

Annual Review

This policy shall be subject to an annual review to assess its compliance with current laws and regulations.
